Anagram Slam is a high-speed word race where players races to find as many words as possible using 8 given letters. Earn abilities to slam your opponent. Fight for the highest score.
Tap tiles onto your rack, submit words of 3 or more letters, and chase longer words for bigger points. Find a word first and it sticks — but if someone else finds it too, it cancels and the points get cut. Pull off long words and streaks to earn slams, then drop them on your rivals to knock them off their game.
With heats for bigger rooms, sudden-death ties, and optional computer players, Anagram Slam is built for lively parties, family game night, and anyone who loves a fast word fight.
A round drops 8 shared letters in front of everyone. From there it’s a sprint: build words, submit fast, and watch the scoreboard jump as longer word finds and cancels land.
You’re not only hunting points — you’re hunting the same words as everyone else. Beat a rival to a word and you keep the glory; land on it after them and you half their score while pocketing a cancel bonus. Keep a hot streak going and you’ll unlock slams to mess with the leaders.
When the timer hits zero, the highest score wins the round or advances from a heat. Ties can go to sudden death.
Add computer players if you want extra competition without waiting for a full room.
How to Play
- Everyone shares the same 8 letter tiles each round.
- Make words of 3+ letters by tapping tiles onto your submission rack, then Submit.
- Longer words score more: 3 letters = 6, 4 = 10, 5 = 15, and so on up to 8 = 36.
- If more than one player finds the same word, it cancels — the first finder keeps half (rounded down); each player who cancels it scores +2.
- Rounds run on a timer (typically 2–5 minutes). Highest score wins.
- With more than 5 players, play heats (top finishers advance) until a final free-for-all of 5 or fewer.
- Earn slams from strong plays, then use them to disrupt opponents’ racks or scores.
House tips
- Shuffle or Clear your rack anytime while building a word.
- Duplicates are the real swing — cancel rivals when you can.
- Save big slams for the players ahead of you.
