Checkers is a timeless strategy game that\\\'s easy to learn but packed with tactical depth. Move your pieces diagonally, force captures, and outmaneuver your opponent to control the board. Reach the far side to crown a King, unlocking the ability to move both forward and backward. Every jump counts as you plan combinations, protect your pieces, and eliminate your opponent\\\'s army to claim victory.

Gameplay
- Two players compete on an 8×8 board using only the dark squares.
- Players take turns moving one piece diagonally forward.
- Capture opponent pieces by jumping over them into an empty square.
- Multiple jumps may be made in a single turn when available.
- Reach the opposite end of the board to promote a piece into a King.
- Kings can move and capture diagonally both forward and backward.
- Win by capturing all of your opponent\\\'s pieces or leaving them with no legal moves.
How to Play
- The game begins with each player having 12 pieces placed on the dark squares of the first three rows.
- Players alternate turns moving one piece diagonally to an adjacent empty square.
- If a capture is available, it must be taken (standard American/English Checkers rules).
- When multiple captures are possible during a jump sequence, the same piece must continue jumping until no further captures are available.
- A regular piece moves diagonally forward only.
- A piece that reaches the opponent\\\'s back row is crowned a King at the end of its move.
- Kings may move and capture diagonally in both directions.
- A player wins by capturing all opposing pieces or by blocking the opponent so they have no legal moves.
- If neither player can force a win and no meaningful progress can be made, the game may be declared a draw according to the game\\\'s draw rules.
