Format
Board Game
- Two players compete on an 8×8 board using only the dark squares.
- Players take turns moving one piece diagonally forward.
- Capture opponent pieces by jumping over them into an empty square.
- Multiple jumps may be made in a single turn when available.
- Reach the opposite end of the board to promote a piece into a King.
- Kings can move and capture diagonally both forward and backward.
- Win by capturing all of your opponent's pieces or leaving them with no legal moves.
- The game begins with each player having 12 pieces placed on the dark squares of the first three rows.
- Players alternate turns moving one piece diagonally to an adjacent empty square.
- If a capture is available, it must be taken (standard American/English Checkers rules).
- When multiple captures are possible during a jump sequence, the same piece must continue jumping until no further captures are available.
- A regular piece moves diagonally forward only.
- A piece that reaches the opponent's back row is crowned a King at the end of its move.
- Kings may move and capture diagonally in both directions.
- A player wins by capturing all opposing pieces or by blocking the opponent so they have no legal moves.
- If neither player can force a win and no meaningful progress can be made, the game may be declared a draw according to the game's draw rules.
